Things to do to Avoid Teeth Discoloration

Posted on 12/19/2022 by Dr. Dani Stansell
Things to do to Avoid Teeth DiscolorationIt is nearly impossible to avoid activities and meals that may cause your teeth to get discolored. As a result, you can only work as hard as possible to prevent stains and clean them up using the most appropriate ways.

Fruits and Vegetables

The crunchy texture of fruits and vegetables, such as apples, carrots, and celery, can naturally clean your teeth and keep them healthy. Stains can be prevented by eating strawberries and pineapple.

Use Straws

If you are drinking something that could become stuck in your teeth, like coffee, juice, soda, or tea, it is a good idea to use a straw. This allows the liquid to pass directly to your throat and limits the liquid from getting stuck.

Water

When you drink staining beverages and eat foods known to stain your teeth, it is important to drink some water between each sip. By doing so, stains will not be able to form in the mouth.

Brushing and Flossing

If you have a stained mouth, brushing, flossing, and using toothpaste to whiten your teeth will help, but whitening toothpaste will perform an even better job. Aside from reducing the quantity of plaque on your teeth, flossing will also prevent discoloration.

Oral hygiene is not complete without using an antibacterial mouthwash to remove plaque and stains from teeth. To get the most out of your mouthwash, ensure it contains ingredients that help whiten your teeth.

Sugar- Free Gum

Gum can help keep your teeth clean and fresh. If you want to keep your mouth and teeth fresh and white, chewing sugar-free gum that contains xylitol is a great way to do it.

Teeth Whitening Products

Purchase over-the-counter teeth-whitening products from your neighborhood pharmacy. Many whitening products are available, including whitening strips and dental trays. Furthermore, you will not have to leave the comfort of your own house to use them. You are having a hard time determining what to buy. Please consult us for any questions or concerns you may have.
