TraditionalTraditional Braces Are Still Some of the Most Reliable Ways to Straighten the Teeth

TraditionalTraditional Braces Are Still Some of the Most Reliable Ways to Straighten the TeethWhile we can provide orthodontic therapies, such as aligning trays for straightening the teeth, the use of traditional braces still proves to be one of the most reliable tooth-straightening methods.

Traditional Braces Cannot Be Removed

Once we put traditional braces on your teeth, they cannot be removed. Therefore, you have to remain committed to the tooth-straightening process. As a result, this form of orthodontic therapy goes more quickly and smoothly. You will also become more acclimated to the process over time.

Traditional Braces Cover More Problems with the Bite and Alignment

Traditional braces can be used to fix more orthodontic issues than treatments, such as aligners. Plus, you can use traditional braces with some restorations, such as bridges, something that cannot be done if you use aligning trays. You can also use traditional braces to correct rotated teeth or match the height of the other teeth. In addition, they can be used to fix large gaps, which other therapies may not be able to do. Traditional braces can be used in combination with surgical procedures to treat temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) or a bad bite, or they can be used alone to fix crowding or crooked teeth.

Traditional Braces Are Less Expensive

Compared to other orthodontic treatments, traditional braces are less expensive and therefore are more affordable than aligning trays or similar innovative orthodontics. Expect to pay from $2,000 to $7,350 for traditional braces. If you choose tooth-colored ceramic braces, the cost is slightly more.

You can wear braces at any age, and you won't have to do so forever. If you need to improve your bite or smile, they provide an affordable way to do so. Do you have further questions about getting braces? If so, give us a call to schedule an appointment for a consultation. We can provide you with all the details about the process after we examine and assess your bite and teeth.
